USA State Tree Rings + Thoreau Print
Art: USA-TUR-0506
Description
An ode to April, Spring, Earth Day and Arbor Day, this Print illustrates something Henry David Thoreau penned, "What is the use of a house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?" Fifty trees - the state tree of each of the 50 United States! - surround a house planted on the mesmerizing concentric rings of a tree trunk. Or, if you imagine with me...a planet, a strong or "tolerable" one as Thoreau thought it should be. I agree: We can't make architecture before we care properly for the site, the earth!
