Tacoma, WA · Collage postcards
Women Saying Things is Meredith, a Tacoma maker who works in collage. She takes stacks of magazines and prints, a lot of them vintage, cuts them up, and turns them into prints and postcards. Letters clipped from print, ransom-note style, pasted over old photographs of this city: Rainier rising over Owen Beach, a state ferry crossing the Sound under drifting clouds, the Narrows Bridge at dusk with a little star.
The postcards are 4x6 and they are perfect for mailing or framing!
Why we carry them
A postcard of Tacoma made in Tacoma, by hand, is the thing to send to whoever still needs convincing. The lettering has a little attitude and the photos have a little age, which is about right for this city. We love everything Meredith produces!
