Weighted aromatherapy eye pillow by Two Birds Eco Shop

Autumn opened Two Birds on Etsy in 2015 with exactly one product: friendship bracelets. With a degree in fashion design and a stubborn idea (sell pretty handmade things and give back), she grew it into a full-time business run from her home studio in Tacoma.

Her weighted eye pillows are the thing she is known for; she wholesales them to spas and yoga studios as far off as Italy and the UK. Everything is made slowly and on purpose: fabric scraps get reused, macrame is worked in recycled cotton cord, orders ship in used boxes. Every purchase supports nonprofits working on women's rights, health research, and environmental causes.

"It all started with an idea: sell pretty handmade things & give back to the world."

Why we carry them

Two Birds is what we mean when we say local. Made in a Tacoma home studio, built to last, and every sale does a little good somewhere else. The eye pillows are our go-to "I don't know what to get them" gift.

What's in them

From Autumn's own product pages:

  • Weighted eye pillows: 100% cotton cover, removable for washing; filled with rice and essential oils (or unscented); lavender pillows include organic dried lavender from San Francisco Herb Co.; 7 by 4 inches, 10 ounces
  • Macrame coasters: Handwoven from recycled cotton cord, combed out for a fringe
  • Diffuser earrings and bracelets: Rosewood beads that absorb essential oils, with genuine gemstones

How to use

Eye pillow: microwave 30 to 45 seconds for warm, or freeze 1 to 2 hours for cold. Hand wash the cover. Diffuser jewelry: add 1 to 3 drops of your favorite oil to the rosewood beads.
